April 9th, 2013 – (a short comedy I wrote, produced, and star in) INVASION OF THE MONEY $NATCHER$ screens to 300+ in L.A. [PHOTO GALLERY]

UPDATE!!!! We have been invited to screen my film at the Chinese Theatre in 2014 with the HollyShorts Film Festival’s monthly screening events. I’ll be posting the date as soon as I know!

On April 9th, 2013 I screened my short film comedy INVASION OF THE MONEY $NATCHER$ to over 300 wonderful invited guests who loudly laughed at all the right places at the SAG Foundation Actor’s Center in L.A. I wrote, produced, and star as Dr. Millie Beenhell in this satirical commentary on greed, scams, and guerrilla style marketing that invades our personal lives.

Veronica Cartwright, star of the 1978 version of the classic flick, INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS that I used along with the 1956 original, for my parody-satire, was our honored guest that evening. She loved the film btw. So cool!

We shot virtually the whole thing at my house in three days of principal photography, with 3 days of “pick up” shots. It was a creative labor of collaborative love with my “no budget” budget.

The film looked like I spent $100,000 because of the talent I was blessed to enlist. I am eternally grateful for all their hard work and effort and for my neighbor’s patience along with their large green plants I “borrowed” to make the alien pods. Yes I was also in charge of making the props!!!

We are currently submitting to film festivals across the nation and a trailer is in the works.

Please visit the film’s page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/INVASIONOFTHEMONEYSNATCHERS) and “Like” it for all upcoming news and screenings, or if you’re logged into Facebook, click on the Like button to the left!

Look for a Pay Per View Internet avenue to watch the film when the time comes to finally release it! Here’s the film’s imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2314704/

I also recently worked with David O’Hara on the John Herzfeld film REACH ME (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0959306/) (Starring Sylvestor Stallone, Tom Sizemore, Cary Elwes, and David O’Hara now in post production).
